Future House Canada Opens Gateway to Development Opportunities in China

Toronto, April 29, 2008: Cenith Energy Corporation of Toronto, announced today that in addition to having been awarded the right to construct the Future House Canada demonstration project showcasing Canadian technology achievements and innovation to millions during and after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, it is on the leading edge of new eco-sensitive development in China, as the country moves forward with its environmental priorities.

The announcement was made following a press conference today held at the Fairmont Royal York. The Conference was Cenith Energy’s initial introduction in Ontario of its Future House Canada project, a 6,500 square foot, net-zero energy efficient building and demonstration center located in the Changping District of Beijing, 8 km from the Master Stadium of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. “The Future House Canada facility provides an incredible opportunity for Canada to enhance the presence and maximize the export capacity of green and innovative Canadian building products, technology and services in China to 2014,’ said Bob Cheetham Vice-President of Corporate Development. “Future House Canada is part of China’s effort to shape the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as a “Green Olympics and we are aggressively pursuing future development opportunities in four Chinese cities that will help meet the enormous demand and  growth anticipated over the next ten years,” he said.

“There are approximately 600 cities in China with an additional 440 cities being planned to meet the need for new residential construction in China. Future House Canada utilizes Canadian innovations in renewable energies and sustainable housing design to promote an environmentally conscious technology for the one hundred million homes slated for construction in China over the next decade,” said Sam Qin, Executive Director of Cenith Energy Corporation. “This is an exciting time for Canadian companies with innovative clean technology and Cenith Energy is positioned well to act as a gateway to the potential being created by the enormous Chinese market,” he said.

Mr. Qin was in Beijing for the official ground breaking ceremony of Future House Canada on March 8, 2008 along with officials of China’s Ministry of Construction, Canada’s Trade Commission and related colleagues including those from Future House USA, Future House Korea and Future House Japan. In total, ten countries from around the globe have been invited to participate in the Future House International Sustainable Energy Community Project. The Future
House Canada Demonstration Project is the first step towards the Future Cities development projects in each of the major cities in China now under planning with Cenith Energy Corporation.

Mme Zhu, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Toronto, attended the company’s press conference to show her country’s support for the Future House International Sustainable Energy Community Project. “This is a wonderful opportunity for Canadian companies like Cenith Energy Corporation to take advantage of China’s interest and emphasis of clean technology and making our environment more sustainable in the future,” she said. “China has made significant changes over the past thirty years which have re-positioned our country as a major growth centre and a place for Canadian companies to do business.”

Dr. You-Zhi Tang, a well respected Canadian scientist and special advisor to the Board of Cenith Energy Corporation attended the press conference and spoke about his recent trip to China with the Canada Clean Energy Mission, which coincided with the visits of Mayor David Miller and several other Canadian delegations to China. “China is growing at a rapid pace and the Future House Canada facility in Beijing provides a very important platform for Canada to enhance the presence and maximize the export capacity of “green” and innovative Canadian products, technology and services in China,” he said.

“We are interested in talking with Canadian manufacturers, corporations, builders and developers interested in participating in the Future House Canada project and the potential of our Future Cities Canada development in China,” said Gareth Edward. “Canada has an opportunity be on the frontline in emerging clean technology developments in China. We can either seize the opportunity or loose it,” he said. Sustainable projects like Future House Canada will not only benefit Chinese residents by providing a healthy, sustainable and affordable surrounding in which to live, but also benefit development and the cooperation of developers, manufacturers and service providers from both China and Canada.

The Future House Canada Project and the Future Cities Canada developments now being planned in China will open the door to even greater opportunities for Canadian companies interested in growing their international capacity and markets for innovative “green” eco-friendly, products and services.
