Sustainable Building Technologies

Cenith Energy Corporation is committed to implementing green building principles in the design and construction of Future House Canada.  The result is minimal environmental impact and in certain cases, even environmental enhancement.  By following green building principles, energy efficiency, water conservation, improved indoor air and overall environmental quality and sustainability is achieved.  For example, to attain net-zero energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact, traditional sources of power generation are replaced by measures such as solar power, wind power and innovative geothermal technology.

Sustainable building technologies to be applied to the Future House Canada Project will include the following:

1. Architectural skylight system with building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV)
2. Roof garden
3. Solar thermal walls and solar power chimneys with fluid mechanics
4. Insulation walls
5. BIPV canopy, BIPV tracking louvres, BIPV windows, BIPV glass walls, and roof top solar pv systems
6. Wind power systems, including VAWT and HAWT with magnetic levitation (Maglev) and aerodynamics
7. Passive solar water heating system
8. Storm water collection and treatment system
9. Heat exchanger for the ventilation system in the bathroom
10. Waste water treatment system
11. Geothermal heat pump system with variable frequency drive (VFD) systems and controls
12. Smart Building automation system
13. Water saving devices
14. Energy Star equipment used for safety, security and fire alarm systems
15. Energy Star communications system devices
16. Wireless data exchange system
17. Living waste classifications
18. Energy Star equipment use in the central vacuum cleaning system
19. Recycling of building materials, for example steel structural frame
20. Recycling of construction materials
21. Construction waste classifications
22. Energy-saving kitchen devices and appliances

The technology used in Future House Canada is not limited to the above list.  Additional technologies may be included.
